Housing Assistance (HA) CalWORKs Temporary Homeless Assistance (THA) and Permanent Homeless Assistance (PHA) were developed to assist eligible and/or potentially-eligible CalWORKs families, who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness, to secure permanent housing, prevent eviction by payment of arrearages, or provide temporary shelter while the families seeks permanent housing.
Suffolk County DSS will respond within 48 hours. Suffolk County DSS will no longer be able to accept telephone discharge requests. Patients who require assistance in the activities of daily living cannot be discharged directly to the Department of Social Services for Temporary Housing Assistance.
